In the industrial, food service, healthcare and agricultural sectors this figure is considerably higher. Most washing and cleaning products heavily pollute waste water with chemicals, leading to significant dangers for the environment and health.

Because, on the one hand, petrochemical additives are not easily or completely biodegradable. On the other hand, an increasing number of people experience allergic reactions. Contact allergies, according to the Robert Koch Institute, are amongst the most frequently experienced allergies. Furthermore, the most common cause of accidental poisoning in children is the swallowing of household cleaning or bodycare products. It is therefore even more important to conduct research into alternative products, to be kind to the environment, nature and people – and yet still provide hygienic and pristine cleanliness.

Biodegradable within one day

In producing our cleaning products we strictly and consistently ensure that they are free from solvents, acids, synthetics surfactants, industrial alcohols, dyes and other waste products from the crude oil industry Instead, we use plant-based soaps exclusively from renewable raw materials. An investigation by the independent Chemisches Laboratorium Dr. Stegmann proves that our cleaning products are 100% biodegradable within less than one day (21.6 hours)

Significantly reduced liability risks

As our cleaning products are water and mineral-based, our products offer the highest degree of safety. Particularly with regard to the topics of occupational safety and exposure in the workplace (MAK values – maximum concentrations in the workplace), our cleaning products set the standards. The ingredients are not poisonous, do not require special labelling and in most cases can therefore be shipped around the world and stored without any warnings or special provisions. This especially provides professional users with a high degree of security in relation to legal obligations relating to occupational safety and health protection, as well as alternative verification concerning liability risks (see downstream user rights and obligations (Rechte und Pflichten des nachgeschalteten) at REACH).

In concrete terms: The administrative burden necessitated by legal requirements is significantly reduced for our products by comparison with conventional cleaning products. This not only helps to cut costs considerably in the short term but also from a long-term perspective.

Sustainably free of germs

Oekotec is also a pioneer in the field of drinking water treatment. We have developed various concepts for the decontamination and sterilisation of drinking water pipelines. The conformity of our products with drinking water regulations has been confirmed by an independent testing laboratory Öko-Control Baumholder.
